After three years of shared effort, the Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ) of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) has been awarded EFMD accreditation for two of its flagship programmes.
Excellence is never built alone.
After three years of dedicated work, we are proud to announce that FABIZ has received EFMD accreditation for its Bachelor’s programme in Business Administration — taught in English, French and German — and for its Master’s programme in Business Strategy and Leadership.
This recognition did not happen overnight. It was built through thousands of hours of work, honest conversations, ambitious decisions, and a community that kept going when the work was hardest.
A recognition built by our community
This milestone belongs to everyone who helped shape it.
To our students — for being far more than learners. You co-created this experience with your curiosity, ambition and high expectations. This accreditation is, above all, for you.
To our faculty — for the vision, academic rigour and dedication that raise the bar in every classroom, every research project and every interaction.
To our administrative teams — because academic excellence runs on the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes. You made the seemingly impossible, possible.
To our partners — the companies, institutions and organisations that believed in what we were building and trusted us with their collaboration. Without a strong connection to the real business world, no academic programme can truly matter.
About EFMD Programme Accreditation
EFMD Programme Accreditation is widely regarded as one of the most thorough international systems for assessing the quality of business and management programmes. It applies to degrees and courses delivered face-to-face, in blended formats, or fully online, and it sets a benchmark for programmes that are recognised and peer-reviewed at international level. The accreditation covers the full range of academic programmes, from Bachelor’s to Doctoral level, with each programme earning its own distinctive label — for example, EFMD Accredited – BA or EFMD Accredited – Master’s. It is built around a continuous-improvement philosophy: rather than a one-time stamp, it opens a path of ongoing development after every accreditation visit.
At its core, the assessment follows an input–output model that examines a programme across its full life cycle — from design, to delivery, to the outcomes achieved by graduates. It also looks at the wider institutional context that supports the programme and at the quality-assurance processes behind it. Three themes run through the whole evaluation: internationalisation, a strong corporate and real-world connection, and a commitment to ethics, responsibility and sustainability (ERS). The criteria are defined and reviewed continuously by an international committee of EFMD members — part of what gives the accreditation its credibility with employers, students and academic partners worldwide.

This is only the foundation!
Today, FABIZ stands as one of the strongest business schools in the region — confirmed not by our own words, but by an independent, rigorous, international evaluation. And the most important part? This is only the foundation.
We keep building!
