1. Internationally recognized diploma

Romania is part of the European Union. All diplomas issued by the member states as well as the periods are recognized by the other EU and EEA states and also internationally through instruments such as the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), The Diploma Supplement (DS), The European Quality Charter for Mobility, The European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF), The ENIC Network (European Network of Information Centres on academic recognition and mobility), The NARIC Network (National Academic Recognition Information Centres).

Moreover, The Faculty of Business Administration in foreign languages (FABIZ) diploma carries the prestige of its parent institution: for the fifth consecutive year, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) has been ranked first in Romania by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, and placed 351-400 globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.

Moreover, in 2026, FABIZ became the first school in Romania to receive EFMD accreditation, one of the most prestigious international quality labels for business schools, for its Bachelor program and for the Master in Business Strategy and Leadership.

The FABIZ curriculum is among the most modern in the region incorporating design thinking, digital transformation, new business models, python programming, data science or artificial intelligence and machine learning.

FABIZ offers students valuable internship and employment opportunities through partnerships with top companies such as EY, Deloitte, BCR, Kaufland, OMV-Petrom and many others.

FABIZ graduates benefit from an extensive alumni network and business partnerships and have access to diverse opportunities in international business management.

Romania has a dynamic economy, with many international companies present, as well as a low unemployment rate (under 6% and below the EU average rate). There are always part-time employment opportunities during studies and full-time jobs after graduation.

7. Quality of life

Romania offers a comfortable student life for any budget (400-800 EUR/month). It has an affordable cost of living, a variety of delicious food and drinks, national and international, one of the fastest internet connectivity in the world, cheap public transportation, and facilities for students.

Compared to other European capitals, Bucharest is budget-friendly: rent, food and public transport are much cheaper than in Western Europe, and the city boasts over 37 parks and green spaces, providing a balance between urban life and relaxation. At the same time, Bucharest-Ilfov has emerged as one of Europe’s most dynamic economic regions, ranking in the Top 10 for GDP per capita in Purchasing Power Standards (PPS).

8. Security

Romania is a safe country, with no major security concerns. It has a criminality rate below the EU average. Bucharest itself stands out as a remarkably safe city. According to Numbeo’s Crime Index, Bucharest has a low crime index of 28.13, indicating a high safety level. In comparison, London has a crime index of 55.22, and Los Angeles stands at 53.77, making Bucharest significantly safer than these major cities.

9. A great place to travel

With a rich history, a diverse culture, and a pleasant climate, Romania offers many travel opportunities between the Carpathian Mountains and the Danube Delta, and the Black Sea.

The country experiences all four seasons, with hot summers, colorful autumns, cold but charming winters, and blooming springs — a variety that makes outdoor activities enjoyable year-round, from beach days to Christmas markets. Romania is also a hub for travel to other countries in the EU or the Mediterranean area. From Bucharest, a weekend trip to Constanța (seaside) or Brașov (mountains) is just a 2-3 hour train ride away.

10. Friendly people and multicultural environment

Romanians are friendly and hospitable. There are no significant incidents of racism, especially regarding international students. Every year, thousands of international students choose Romania as their host country.

Bucharest is home to diverse communities from all over the world, making it easier for international students to adapt and feel at home. Social and cultural life is vibrant and satisfies all tastes, especially in big cities.

At FABIZ, this diversity is part of everyday student life: events such as the Intercultural Day celebrate cultural diversity and promote the exchange of ideas between students from over 30 countries.
